Team Mongo member, Laura Sophiea, broke the W-50-54 Age Group Record at the 2005 Ironman Triathlon World Championship in Kona Hawaii with a time of 10:35:59. She crushed her finish-time goal of 11 hours and was ahead of the next age group finisher by over 30 minutes! She describes the day as “a day when everything came together the way I had dreamed. The light winds on the bike were fabulous.”
